Windows 95/98 Modem & E-mail Setup

- Double click on "My Computer."
- Double click on "Dial-Up Networking"
- Double click on "Make New Connection"
- For the name of the computer you are dialing
enter the domain part of your e-mail
address. (If your address is janedoe@oregonfcu.com then the domain part
is oregonfcu.com.)
- Press the "Next" button.
- Leave the area code entry blank.
- Enter the phone number for your area from POP
Locations and Numbers.
- Press the "Next" button.

- Press the finish button.
- Right click on the connection you just made and choose
properties.
- On the general tab uncheck "Use area code and Dialing
Properties."

- Click on the "Server Types" tab.
- Uncheck "Log on to Network."
- Uncheck "NetBEUI."
- Uncheck "IPX/SPX Compatible."
- Press the "OK" button.
- Right click on the connection and "Create Shortcut."

- Click on the "Yes" button to have it placed on your desktop.
- Close the "Dial-Up Networking" screen.
- Double click on the shortcut to the connection you made.
- For the username enter your full e-mail address you have
with us.
- Enter the password you have on the account.
- Click "Save Password."
- Press the "Connect" button
